HCE Anniversary Celebration

To mark our 15th anniversary, HCE members gathered last week for a summer party at the Marsilius Kolleg. We also celebrated the fact that the HCE has been a Central Scientific Institution since January 1, 2026—two significant milestones! 🥂

Olaf Bubenzer kicked off the evening with a fascinating look back at the HCE’s founding in 2011 and its development since then. Afterward, our director, André Butz, gave an inspiring outlook on the HCE’s future projects and goals.

Amid a summery atmosphere, good conversation, and delicious food from Mahmoud’s food truck, we toasted to our shared success story and enjoyed the evening in a cozy setting.

Here’s to the next 15 years—we’re looking forward to everything that’s to come!
