Excursion of the Sustainability Think Tank to the KLIMA ARENA Sinsheim
As a token of appreciation for their outstanding commitment during the participatory sustainability strategy process, members of the Sustainability Think Tank (STT) were invited to an excursion to the KLIMA ARENA on Wednesday, June 18.
After a welcome speech by Dr. Bernd Welz, Chair of the Climate Foundation for Citizens, STT members joined an interactive guided tour through the KLIMA ARENA. Following the tour, Irina Merz, Sustainability Strategy Manager at the University Heidelberg, and Dr. Maximilian Jungmann, Executive Manager of the HCE, provided an update on the current status of the university’s sustainability strategy and on the Rectorate’s feedback on the STT’s recommendations. The meeting also included an exchange on ongoing activities in the fields of research, research operations, teaching, operations, and transfer and communication.
