An interdisciplinary analysis of the investment disputes against Spain

In the current issue of the Review of European, Comparative & International Environmental Law (RECIEL), Sai Ma, Simon Schaub and Joan Enguer have published the article: „Regulatory and policy stability for renewable energy investment: An interdisciplinary analysis of the investment disputes against Spain“

This article analyses how regulatory and policy changes in Europe’s renewable energy sector have triggered legal disputes and created uncertainty for investors and host states. Using regulatory reforms in Spain as a case study, it explores how different stakeholders define ‘a stable regulatory and policy environment’ and offers an interdisciplinary perspective grounded in international investment law and policy durability research. The goal is to foster a shared understanding of stability and to support more predictable frameworks for renewable energy investment.
