Future Lab „Welt der Zukunft: Did We F**K Up Or Are We Just Getting Started?“

On November 6, 2025, the Future Lab event “Welt der Zukunft: Did We F**K Up Or Are We Just Getting Started?” took place in Heidelberg.

The public event was hosted by the Heidelberg Center for the Environment (HCE) of Heidelberg University together with the Heidelberger Energiegenossenschaft, in cooperation with PRIO1 – Das Klima-Netzwerk. As part of the Future Lab, experts from science, business, and civil society discussed the challenges and opportunities of a sustainable future. The event opened with a panel discussion in which various perspectives on the topic were explored. This was followed by four hands-on workshops in which participants developed concrete solutions, ideas, and action strategies:

• Workshop 1: "Nachhilfe für Bundeswirtschaftsministerin Frau Reiche - Sammlung von energiepolitischen Lösungen" (Nicolai Ferchl, Vorstand Heidelberger Energiegenossenschaft)
• Workshop 2: "Mit dem Klima spielen" (Philipp Schrögel, Gastwissenschaftler TU Chemnitz, Projekt PartWiss zu Partizipation in der Wissenschaft)
• Workshop 3: "VW steht für VerkehrsWende" (Tobi Rosswog, sozial-ökologischer Transformationsaktivist aus Freiburg)
• Workshop 4: „Sustainable Startup Lab – Von der Idee zum nachhaltigen Geschäftsmodell“ (Dr. Maximilian Jungmann, Geschäftsführer von Momentum Novum sowie FALK Momentum und Geschäftsführer des HCE)

Following the workshops, participants exchanged insights and results during a final networking session with delicious pizza.
